Here is a list of food and wine related links that I visit often.

Casa Madero: Family owned and operated, the oldest winery in Latin America, founded in 1597. Located in Parras, Coahuila, Mexico, it is an oasis in the middle of the dessert. Wines produced here are award-winning beauties.

Chilly Chiles:
Chilly Chiles has been heating up Canada since 1993 and are the first Fiery Food specialty company in Canada. They offer one of the largest fiery food product selections in the world (over 1200 items and growing!) along with fast, inexpensive shipping and great customer service.

Continental Mushrooms: Family owned and operated business founded in 1972, located in Metcalfe, Ontario.

DiVino Wine Studio: Italian sommelier and wine educator Antonio Mauriello operates this wine and food education studio, and the first Enoteca in Ottawa. He focuses on helping enthusiasts learn about tasting and pairing wine with food, choosing from restaurant lists and entertaining at home. Courses and activities range from two-hour seminars to 11-day wine tours of Italy. Sign up to his free newsletter with Italian wine picks, wine travel tips and news. antonio@divinowinestudio.com 613-221-9760.

Frontera Kitchens: website of one of my favourite chefs/authors - Rick Bayless. Chicago's Frontera Grill and Topolobampo are his award-winning restaurants. On this site you will find some great recipes, useful information and neat products.

Los Dos Cooking School and Guesthouse: A unique cooking school owned and run by Chef David Sterling, located in a magnificent colonial mansion in downtown Mérida, capital of Yucatán, Mexico. You can find some nice recipes on this site.

Mundo Cuervo: the concept created by Mundo Cuervo is unique: it conjugates the mystical heartbeat of the agave with the technology and tradition of the oldest Latin American tequila company through a trip that awakens the senses and the spirit of visitors, making them become a part of the cultural patrimony that belongs to them.

Nat Decants FREE Newsletter: Wine picks, articles and humor from Natalie MacLean, recently named the World's Best Drink Writer at the World Food Media Awards in Australia.   There are no ads and all e-mail addresses are kept confidential. To sign up, visit www.nataliemaclean.com.

Sazon Cooking School: A Mexican cooking school and boutique housed in a magnificent 18th century casa in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, a charming colonial town in the highlands of central Mexico.

Seasons of My Heart Cooking School: Cooking school and guest house in Oaxaca, México. I took some classes from Susana Trilling at her school a couple of years ago, and I thoroughly recommend the experience!

Winelightenment: A portal to unite people with a like-minded view that wine is an experience that should be enjoyed and shared by everyone. The site is being developed to share wines, ideas, experiences and more. It now features articles, pictures and local Ottawa wine and food events organized by Italian Sommelier and Wine Instructor Antonio Mauriello.
